Re-caulk: the $200 Miracle

Grout belongs on flat joints. Every corner, tub-to-tile line and fixture penetration should be flexible silicone — and in most Berlin baths that silicone died years ago, inviting the black creeping lines every cleaner fails on. A full re-caulk strips every bead to bare substrate, treats any staining beneath, and lays fresh mold-resistant silicone with proper tooling. It's the cheapest transformation in bathroom care, and we include it in every regrout.
Berlin notes
Berlin's most common call: a fiberglass surround gone yellow and chalky around a perfectly good tub — re-tile the walls, keep the tub. In Berlin we re-caulk hundreds of tub lines a year: Kensington's older baths still run the original 4x4 wall tile over plaster, usually with a failing caulk line at the tub. The ranch baths are fiberglass tubs with surround panels yellowed at the seams — the classic re-tile trigger. A two-hour service that holds for years — if the substrate beneath is dry, which we verify free.
